Assalamu alaykum warahmatuhllahi wabarakatuh I would like to wish all of you a Ramadan Mubarak.
This is a great opportunity for all Muslims of Leicestershire and beyond to gain the blessings of this holy month, which has been chosen by Allah Almighty for this Ummah alone. No previous Ummah has been granted such a blessed month.
Abstaining from food and drink throughout the day will undoubtedly give us all the opportunity to think about those around the world who are less fortunate than we are. We should constantly during the month pray for ourselves and our families, pray for one another and pray especially for those who are suffering throughout the world.
I humbly request you not to forget those Muslim Brothers and Sisters in Pakistan, many of whom who have lost their lives and millions of others who have been suffering over the past few days due to the floods. The least we can do for them is help in whichever way we are able to i.e. by giving donations, volunteering in charity events etc. The most important thing to remember is our du`as for them at this time of distress are very important and should not be neglected.
Finally, we sincerely hope that you will, as always, support our Radio Ramadan which has been broadcast for approximately 10 years. We would like you to contribute to the success of the radio station by listening via radio or online streaming, actively participating during pledge days, contributing to discussion shows where appropriate via text messaging and telephone and most importantly, by providing us with feedback on the following address- feedback@fmo.org.uk.
May Allah grant us all His pleasure and give us the ability to worship in this month the way we should and may He forgive our shortcomings during this month and grant us all a high place in Paradise in the Hereafter.
